Shady Elzregy started very small — his first pieces were rings, and leather came next. Today every piece is still cut, stitched and burnished by hand in the workshop, one at a time.
We work in natural leather, chosen by hand and worked slowly. Real leather takes on colour and a story over time instead of peeling, and nothing is mass-produced — each piece is made on its own.

The workshop teaches natural leathercraft from scratch — choosing and cutting the hide, through hand-stitching and edge finishing. Small groups, and tools in your hands from day one.

Same bench, same tools, same hand method we use on every piece.
Tell us your level and what you want to learn — we'll suggest the right course.
Groups are kept small so everyone works with their own hands. We confirm your date and seat on WhatsApp.
You finish the course with something you made yourself, and the skills to carry on.

I started with 450 pounds — that was all I had.
Before leather, Shady was a student at the Faculty of Specific Education, working with metal. During Ramadan, in the middle of exam season, he took what little capital he had to Haret El Yahud, bought a small gas cylinder, a blowtorch and a quarter-kilo of copper wire, carried it home himself, and made his first two rings. Then he sold them.
He showed the work to a gallery downtown, and within three months his pieces were on display in three governorates beyond Cairo. The profit from the rings is what let him learn natural leathercraft and move from metal into leather.
He built the workshop on the same principle he started with: one piece at a time, by one pair of hands. Every piece is still cut, stitched and burnished by hand in the workshop.
